The Vietnam Seaports Association (VPA) Annual Conference 2026 in Quy Nhon gathered the seaport, maritime, and logistics community to discuss green transition, operational efficiency enhancement, and connectivity strengthening. VINALIFT continues to accompany the event as a sponsor.
Within the framework of the program taking place from September 17 to 19, 2026, in Quy Nhon, Gia Lai province, the plenary session of the VPA Annual Conference 2026 was held on September 18, hosted by Quy Nhon Port Joint Stock Company. With the theme ” Vietnam Seaports in the Era of National Rise“, the conference attracted over 600 delegates from regulatory agencies, member ports, maritime-logistics enterprises, and domestic as well as international partners.
Green transition coupled with seaport operational efficiency
The conference reviewed the first year of the VPA’s 10th term and discussed new requirements for Vietnam’s seaport system. Besides infrastructure development and logistics connectivity, topics regarding energy management, data digitalization, smart ports, and human resource development were evaluated in relation to handling productivity, service quality, and the competitiveness of each port.
VPA identified six priority action groups up to 2030: policy, connectivity, green ports, smart ports, human resources, and international integration. Speaking at the conference, Mr. Huynh Van Cuong – Chairman of VPA, emphasized: “A seaport is not just a gateway for cargo. It must become a gateway for connectivity, innovation, and development.”

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet – Deputy Director of the Vietnam Maritime and Inland Waterways Administration, stated that the green transition must be accompanied by management innovation, operational organization, and the efficient utilization of resources. From a local perspective, Mr. Nguyen Huu Que – Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee, highlighted the role of seaports and logistics in connecting the economic space from the highlands to the sea.
VINALIFT continues to accompany the seaport community
Following the VPA 2023, VPA 2024 and VPA 2025, VINALIFT continues its participation in VPA 2026 with the desire to connect with port operators and contribute technical perspectives on lifting equipment. For VINALIFT, every port crane solution must be based on the cargo type, handling intensity, berth conditions, and the development plan of the operator; maintenance capabilities and post-handover support must also be considered from the very beginning.

The spirit of developing seaport equipment through the capabilities of Vietnamese enterprises is demonstrated by the projects VINALIFT has announced, such as the two TCC 280 portal slewing cranes at Nam Dinh Vu Port. In the Hybrid RTG crane project manufactured in Vietnam, VINALIFT participated in the technical design, detailed drawing deployment, and fabrication of mechanical structural assemblies alongside its partners. These experiences enable the company to continue developing high-quality products for the port industry and participating in solutions aligned with energy efficiency trends.

Jointly moving towards substantive cooperation The VPA Conference 2026 concluded with a directive to further strengthen the linkage among ports, regulatory agencies, and enterprises within the maritime-logistics ecosystem.
