VINALIFT 20TH ANNIVERSARY: A JOURNEY OF PERSEVERANCE AND INNOVATION

Marking the milestone of two decades of building and development, on September 15, 2026, at the VINALIFT Factory in Phuc Dien Industrial Park, Hai Phong, VINALIFT officially held its 20th Anniversary Celebration. Behind the proud reunion atmosphere of the ceremony is the story of a Vietnamese enterprise’s step-by-step progress from manufacturing structural components and lifting equipment to deeply mastering the design phases, and bringing Vietnamese-branded products to the international market.

The reunion from the perspective of the founders

The atmosphere of VINALIFT’s 20th-anniversary celebration carried many nuances of a grand reunion. Generations of staff, engineers, and workers, along with customers and partners, gathered at the very factory where high-capacity lifting equipment has been continuously designed, manufactured, and shipped out over the past two decades.

While figures on revenue or export products demonstrate the scale of development, the story behind them is made by people. Sharing at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Van Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VINALIFT, nostalgically recalled the early days when the enterprise had only about 15–20 employees. Under limited financial resources, the factory was designed, built, and gradually completed by VINALIFT’s very first members through their own dedicated efforts.

He expressed his deep gratitude to his parents, who placed their trust in him, and thanked his wife for always sharing the burden and taking care of the family. Behind that journey are not only those directly working at the factory or construction sites but also the sacrifices and companionship of their families.

“VINALIFT’s success today is the result of the efforts of many generations of VINALIFT people – those who directly built and laid the foundation for the company from the very first days,” Mr. Tran Van Tuan shared emotionally, emphasizing his understanding of the engineers’ hardships: “On the construction site, the hardest part is being away from home, your wife, and your children; and the most important thing for us is to ensure safety.”

Today’s proud achievements are built on immense efforts, but the most crucial factor is the perseverance and unanimity of all VINALIFT people over the past 20 years, even through extremely difficult periods. Navigating the ups and downs of the market and the economy, the company always deeply appreciates and is grateful for the dedication, contribution, and companionship of every employee.

A journey forged by Quality and Trust

Sharing the joy of this grand celebration, Mr. Nguyen Chi Sang, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry (VAMI), observed that VINALIFT’s results after 20 years are not only reflected in revenue scale but, more importantly, in its ability to maintain a development orientation and expand internationally.

According to Mr. Sang, VINALIFT’s focus on developing foreign markets and bringing products to demanding markets such as Europe and the United States is a remarkable milestone. He affirmed: “First is the steadfast commitment to quality, putting quality first. If VINALIFT makes it, the quality is good. And VINALIFT will never compromise product quality due to its own difficulties or social circumstances.”

The VAMI Chairman also sent his wishes to VINALIFT as the enterprise turns 20: “I wish VINALIFT at 20 to be as strong as a young man to shoulder the workload, yet as charming as a young woman to attract customers.” This is a fitting metaphor for an enterprise entering a new phase of development: strong enough to handle major challenges, yet flexible and attentive to the market.

Mastery capabilities and aspirations to reach new heights

At the event, guests also reflected on VINALIFT’s impressive transformation. Industrial lifting equipment may seem like familiar mechanical products, but it is actually a complex integrated system. A high-capacity overhead crane or gantry crane is not merely about steel girders, wheels, and lifting hooks. It involves structural calculations, hoisting and traveling mechanisms, electrical systems, PLCs, synchronized control, and a series of load testing and installation stages.

VINALIFT’s 20-year journey is validated through the continuous elevation of its products, expanding application fields, and successfully conquering demanding contractors. Currently, the enterprise’s overhead cranes and gantry cranes with capacities of hundreds of tons have been supplied and operated in many heavy industrial sectors, such as steel production, energy, infrastructure, seaports, and the marine industry. The strict application of international standards like FEM, CMAA, and AWS in design and manufacturing demonstrates a clear shift: VINALIFT has transitioned from simple mechanical fabrication to the role of a comprehensive manufacturer, mastering everything from design drawings to full system integration.

Furthermore, one of VINALIFT’s core strategies is choosing a sustainable localization path by strengthening linkages to form a robust network. From collaborating with Viet Hai Industrial JSC, HAMECO, Z111 Factory, Hai Anh JSC, to Siemens, Innomotics, Flender, ABB, Vinacomin, Vietwalk, and Pha Rung Shipbuilding Factory, VINALIFT is gradually expanding its partner network, forming a substantive domestic mechanical and industrial supply chain. Concurrently, the companionship of MB Bank and partners in the financial and service sectors has provided a foundational support platform for VINALIFT’s development and operational expansion.

The resounding cheers not only energized the atmosphere but also tightened team solidarity, erasing all distances, and opening opportunities for all office and factory staff to have fun together and recharge after hard days working on the construction sites.

The 20th-anniversary celebration is an occasion to look back on a journey, but it also sets requirements for the next path. Competition in the lifting equipment industry is shifting from pure “mechanics” to control, sensors, digitalization, and automation. At that point, the product’s value will no longer solely concentrate on hundreds of tons of steel but will lie within algorithms and software.

Sharing the expectations for the next generation, VINALIFT’s people enter age 20 with a steadfast mindset. As a new path opens, VINALIFT aims not only to expand its scale but also determines to go further: from “Made in Vietnam” reaching towards “Designed, Engineered and Integrated in Vietnam”.

That is the true sustainable value that VINALIFT and the Vietnamese mechanical industry are striving for!
