In the lifting equipment industry, load testing is not just a safety requirement – it is a testament to the manufacturer’s engineering capability and reliability.
Recently, VINALIFT successfully carried out the load testing of two 165-ton gantry cranes manufactured for Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C), under the independent supervision of INCOSAF (Inspection and Construction Safety JSC).
The entire procedure was conducted in compliance with TCVN 4244:2005 – Lifting appliances, design, manufacturing, and inspection.

Static Load Test (125% SWL)

Purpose: To verify overall structural durability and load-bearing capacity.
Test load = 125% of Safe Working Load (SWL).
Method: Position trolley at maximum span deflection, lift load to 200–300 mm.
Acceptance criteria: Within 10 minutes, no load drop, no cracks or permanent deformation.
Result: Both cranes passed static load test with excellent structural integrity.
Dynamic Load Test (110% SWL)

Purpose: To assess the operational performance and reliability of mechanisms.
Method:
Test load = 110% of SWL.
Lift and lower at least 3 times, check brakes and drive mechanisms.
Acceptance criteria: Smooth operation, reliable braking, no failures.
Result: Cranes operated smoothly, ensuring absolute safety.
